I discussed the solutions to Problems 1-4. The text of my model solutions is now on the web site, under the "Resources" heading in the right hand column.
These are fairly straightforward questions. I think that one of the most important things at this stage is to become comfortable with formulating optimality equations. We've now seen quite a lot of examples. Some have been a little non-standard, like the multiplying matrices question, and job scheduling.
Next time we will discuss Problems 5-8, and I will hand out Problems sheet 2.
